MISS DIAGNOSED

The time we created a medical textbook for healthcare app, Livi.

The Background

The gender health gap stinks. Women are statistically misdiagnosed more than men, then wait longer than men to be correctly diagnosed. This is because women make up a much smaller percentage of our medical research history. Women deserve better.

The Idea

No small undertaking, we decided to become the first PR agency to make a completely free medical textbook. Working with Livi healthcare professionals and a group of women who had been misdiagnosed, we set out to help more women navigate misdiagnosis and tricky conversations with their doctors.

The outcome? 80 pages of completely free, practical help. We had experts, research, case studies and more, amounting to reams of brilliant press coverage and radio hits.

We gave voice to real women who had been misdiagnosed within the ebook, balancing expert medical opinion with with true accounts and reflections.

For each of the common issues for which women are often misdiagnosed, we shared the story of someone who had been through it.

Then worked with best-selling author, podcaster and feminist, Emma Gannon, for our foreword.
