THE CLEANUP
PRE-NUP

Ending the ‘gender spray gap’ with the launch of the cleanup prenup for Method

The first prenuptial agreement for household chores? Why not.

The Background

Method is a cleaning brand on a mission for equality. As we all know, covid had a lot of obvious downsides, but one that wasn’t as noticed was the digression to previous generations when it came to household chores. Women were back picking up the lions share, and Method wanted to call BS.

The Idea

Working with legal film, Lawrence Stephens, we created the first prenup based on a fair division of household chores, opening up conversations around equality in the home. People could download and print their own contracts, with their own terms and rota, to ensure domestic bliss.

We had TV judge, Rob Rinder, become our officiant, and Made In Chelsea’s James and Maeva become the first couple to sign.

An idea that was shared far and wide, with people tagging their partners and forwarding the story to their mates.
